Enhanced Access
Local GP Practices work together as Primary Care Networks to offer evening and weekend appointments. The Hereward Practice, is part of the Four Counties Primary Care Network that is required to provide enhanced access appointments between the hours of 6:30pm to 8pm Mondays to Fridays and 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturdays.
As enhanced access will be delivered at a PCN level – not every practice has to be open from 8:00am to 8:00pm Monday to Friday and every Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Practice core working hours will remain the same, however, there are pre-bookable appointments available to patients outside of these hours. These appointments will be offered across the Primary Care Network, and you will be advised at the time of booking where your appointment will be. As the practice may not be physically open during these hours, patients will be unable to have general queries answered or dealt with during enhanced access opening times. Please be aware, your appointment may be a telephone call, video call or a face-to-face appointment but again, you will be advised at the time of booking.
Please note, our dispensary opening times remain the same (closing at 6:00pm each evening and closed on a Saturday).
Life Threatening

Non-urgent
Use NHS 111 if:
